A lot of people are saying that its not a big deal, but...
It is a 2007 Bravo 1.9 16V M-JET diesel.
I had 2 injectors repaired, and other two seem to be OK.
I also have problem with EGR-it seems thath its not working as espected...

Sounds like normal diesel clatter to me...

I think it's coming from alternator/ac side right?

Yeah, i think so. I can hear it inside my car, and then I think its from the right side...
How can the ringning be the normal sound of a diesel engine?

Sounds like something metal is loose and vibrating (might not even be in the engine). Might be worth asking a mechanic to have a look or try holding anything metal in the engine bay. I'd start with heat shields and engine mounts.

Are we talking about the hissing sound?
When was the last service done?

PS: The biggest problem with Fiat diesel engines is not EGR, but dirty MAP sensor.

Can you point us to the approximate position in the engine bay where that is located please?

if you have a picture of the back part of your engine with cover off, or at least from top wit top plastic cover off I can point it to you.I can do that perhaps on Wednesday...if you have the picture I can do it tomorrow morning.

I have cleaned an air flow sensor (the one after the air filter), also cleaned EGR, all two were very dirty. I dont know where the MAP sensor is.
I also checked injectors, it seems that they are OK.
My fuel consumption is about: 5.5 l/100km - 6.5 on open road, and 8.5 urban.
