What started a a loud clunk on Monday, diagnosed as front top suspension bearing failure on Wednesday, has moved on to broken springs on both sides on Friday. Trusted garage so no reason to doubt. Now up to £480. Two new springs and bearings fitted. First I've heard of Bravos breaking springs, I had a Croma, that did it, they had a repution for it.

Stilos had a safety recall for this very thing (although the recall didn't replace the springs, only fitted a 'keeper' to stop the exploding spring puncturing your tyre!). If you give your springs an annual brush with Waxoyl, the issue never arises...

When I bought my tjet 150 I requested the workshop sheet from Perrys to see whether they had actually bothered to change my cambelt.

As it happened they had but along with replacing both front springs. On inspection I do have 2 lovely new looking springs above my wheels.

I guess there's possibly an issue as my car had only done 32k miles.

This one's an 08 but only done 60000. I will have to put it down to bad luck, otherwise I have had car 5 plus years not cost me anything other than service and wear and tear items.
