Hi everyone,
I'm thinking on buying Fiat Bravo and add an LPG kit.
the question is which type of motor is suitable for that?

1.4 Fire 16V 90, 66 kW (90 PS)
1.4 T-Jet 16V 120, 88 kW (120 PS)
1.4 T-Jet 16V 120 Dualogic 88 kW (120 PS)
1.4 T-Jet 16V 150 110 kW (152 PS)

any thought would be appreciated.

Any will do with the correct LPG system installed.

Had it fitted to our 1.4 16v Stilo, similar to the '1.4 Fire 16V 90, 66 kW (90 PS)' Bravo. Done about 90k since conversion with a BRC system without issue. Was returning about 32-34MPG on LPG with mainly dual carrigeway driving.

I have 2009 T-JET 88kW-120HP with ZAVOLI, and I guess am not so lucky as the driver with BRC. Perhaps the mechanics here do not know how to calibrate the LPG system in this car.

Done around 20000 km, was told to replace the sparks due to starting from cold problems...Had failure with the engine as one of the sparks broke and nearly killed my engine. The spark was replaced to original Denso for T-jet afterwards,I still have some problems starting the car if I shut down the car with LPG on, when I start the car after a couple of hours it starts shaking and wants to die, but it works after some time (30sec-1minute starts running normally), I have some problems while going uphill as it can cut off power all of a sudden and does not want to accelerate as it should. It runs without problems on gasoline though.

My suggestion would be, buy at least 120HP as the performance drops a lot when driving on LPG. Try to get the mechanic who is known to be the best in installation of LPG systems. I chose such, but I still have some problems, and I hope those problems will be sorted out in September when the car goes for the check up. Most of the time it works as it should. Oh and also my system has lubrication for the valves I do not know if other guys have it, but after changing the lubrication oil for LPG system, it started running a bit better. But I am not satisfied yet.

This would indicate that as you suspect the system hasn't been installed properly. There should be no performance difference with a correctly installed Sequential Multi Point Injection LPG system. This loss of performance is only (or should only be) an occurrence on carburettor systems with LPG mixer rings installed.

No performance difference at all on our Stilo. Other than it drinks the LPG if sitting at naughty speeds, but this is due to the amount of LPG used to prevent hinderance on performance.

this is interesting - i just found out that Fiat has couple of LPG dual-fuel cars originally from the fiat factory. apparently some fiat 500, panda and bravo models comes with this conversion.
for example the bravo, in the factory dual version is equipped with a fire engine:
look for it in wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Bravo
see on the right side under "Powertrain".

can it be that only that type of motor by fiat is adequate with LPG?

I have 120 tjet with Lovato Easy fast sistem.
It was installed by official Fiat dealer when engine had 8000km on the clock
Works fine but there is minor difference between acceleration on LPG and petrol but thats because of lpg injectors.
Engine has now almost 100 000km on lpg. I had also problems with cold start, but problem was in leakin lpg injectors and reducer.
Originaly lpg reducer was 170HP model with additional lpg heater-it looks like lpg filter-because Lovato reducer wasnt "strong" enough

So i replace "original" reducer with Lovato High performance reducer that goes up to 200KW, so now there is enough lpg with out that additional lpg heater.
I also replaced original Lovato lpg injectors with Alex type (similar to Valtec type 30), because Lovato were "leaking" and they cant be repaired.

If you buy t-jet and considering lpg conversion, my only recomendation is BRC Smart with 200kw reducer (looks like small black brick hehe) ad yellow BRC injectors-they are most powerful injectors on market that goes up to 56Hp per cilinder and they are capable to deliver enough amount of lpg when turbo winds start to blow hehe

Carlorff-there is no need for extra valve lubrification, it works fine. Problem is correct lpg calibration if lpg parts are dimensioned properly.

First od all lpg reducer and injectors for turbo must be at least twice as strong dimensioned as engine power.
Injectors should be very fast due to low injection times of petrol-BRC are best in that

Second proper calibration means driving car for 5-10km or more in all conditions with diagnostic connected to lpg and engine ecu

When i was buying Bravo i tried to drive 90 HP and t-jet 120 HP. 90 HP had 0.5-1 l/100km higher fuel consumption a felt half power/acceleration compare to 120 HP t-jet

i thought prins is considered to have the most powerful system in the market including their injectors
