Just a quick question to see if this is just me, or what could of happened. When you release the handbrake, I have a small gap, does anyone else have it??

I'm not sure how to upload a photo, but if someone lets me know how, I'll upload a picture I have.

Is it at the top ,the plastic gator has prob snapped mines did it last week found the broken piece when i was tightening handbrake

Yrah its same as mine ,its snapped off ,u can try and buy one ,ebay etc but its the whole unit the sell or u can make something i seen someone on here a while ago made one from a folder and put carbon sticker on it looked good , ive just turned mine round just now so the holes at bottom till i can make one myself

If u pull seats forward and pop the flap off at the back of centre consol ,where u tighten handbrake ,the missing piece will be in there

Is it just bad observation from me or does this only seen to happen to the consoles without the arm-rest/cooler.?

Mines fine and my handbrake gets lifted pretty high.

I think its just general wear n tear ,maybe it catches on something inside ,mines had no bending on it not catching nothing ,one day last week i got in and it was gone

Just opened the flap, nice one for that little tip. And I found the broken piece, 10p, some glittery nail varnish, 20p, and a little metal clip, (these MAY explain the quiet rattle I had)

How do I get to the plastic cover, to get it out and create a plastic template for it?

Also: (if you guys know) how do I get to remove the vent in the rear of the armrest to clean it, as I've just noticed its filthy and sticky, I could do with cleaning it

Whats left of ur gator will just pop out ,be firm but carefull its the thin sides ,either side of the hole u have to watch ,theres no clips or any thing , its just firm but gentle lol
