Hello,

My car has s problem with half of its climate control.

The drivers side of the car works fine, but the passenger side is stuck on maximum heat it seems.

If I have the air con on cold I have to close the passenger vents as there blowing full heat.

The climate control unit shows everything correct.

Any ideas anyone?

Cheers

Hi there,
I had the same problem 3 years ago. I was returning from ski trip, and the driver's side was heating, the passenger side was cooling. I couldn't do anything, and we had to stop for my wife to buy a pair of warmer shoes just to get home. :(
The boys in the fiat service took apart whole lower part of cockpit, and found that the right actuator for hot/cold deflector was at fault. They ordered two of them, thinking that the left could also break down at any moment. The car was there for whole week and the cost was around 300-400 EUR. Some 3 months later I had the same problem, they opened up the cockpit again and one of the actuators was dead. This time they only charged some small amount. After that, no problems with AC. But before the visit to workshop, you can maybe try to reset the AC (if you have automatic dual zone AC). There are guides somewhere. If that doesn't work, I think it's the same thing as with me. Cheers.

I'd post a link to another thread on this forum which deals with actuators, but can't post links yet, too fresh. :(

Thanks for the reply, I'll look into resetting it!! If all else fails....I'll live with it. Not paying 200 quid + for a problem that I won't mind in a few months when it cools down.

Cheers

Resetting is done when your ignition is "On" and you keep both round A/C buttons pressed until the countdown on the screen is 0. Then you wait for the checks and write down the code it returns and check what it means. The ECU also stores A/C errors and gives more meaningfull information.

Guess why I keep them at hand :D

Just want to inform that it is possible to remove actuator motors for the whole a/c unit without removing the dashboard or similar as written in elearn. Glovebox and plastic protections must be removed.
Patience and small fingers including right tools with 5,5 mm combination wrench + socket of the same size will be needed! :)

The part numbers for the climate unit motors of a Bravo II are the following?

46723703

46723704

46723705

46723706

is the actuator problem on the Bravo just on the models with climate control? Is it still a problem on cars with manual or no a/c?
