I have taken delivery or 30cm 5 led look drl's, I was thinking under the fog lights but not completly doable as angle of bumber? Any suggestions or pics of car's with them on already? Any idea's must appriciated

Many thanks :)

If they're just styling lights, which is sounds like they are being 'led look' then bin them as they'll look tacky, and get a set of propper 'E' marked and road legal DRLs (y)

I prefer tomharrison's method TBH, that's where fiat themselves put them on the extreme concept.

Agreed, but on the concept, they're angled correctly, for the DRL's to be angled correctly on after market units they'll either have needed to be made specifically for the curve on that section of the bumper, or they'll have to sit at a funny angle. And I wasn't prepared to start hacking at the bumper or having bits sticking out.

I'm more a lower down Clio look :p :yuck:

Thsnk you guys for your opinions, and tom, I kinda copied you a bit, but I believe what u say anywhere else is un doable, mine go to 40%dim on dipped light for legal reasins to keep plod off my bsck errmm how do I show u guys?? Sorry...
But again, thsnk you all of you for your input, much appreciated

Heres the picture :) I think...

You'll have to excuse my ignorance but I don't get the point of them. The Mrs has them on her 2014 Octavia VRS Estate and apart from trying to make it look pretty I can't ascertain any useful purpose.

Another aspect I don't get is why they have to be of led construction? Why not of incandescent bulbs? At least they would match the hue of the dipped lights then.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fully behind everyone making a mark on their car but I just don't get the appeal of them, especially aftermarket as they look exactly that - bolted/screwed on after buying the car.

DRL's were introduced to try make cars more visible. So unwary pedestrians and motorists didn't get in the way and have accidents. (A bit like Volvo in the 70's, where the sidelights were always on). The 500 has incandescent DRL's.
The DRL's should turn off when lights are turned on.
