Hi guys,

Just put down the deposit on a 59 plate bravo 1.4 active sport, after my fiesta was written off by a kind doctor. I'm not talking body kits and quad exit exhausts, but what subtle things are recommended to better the cars appearance?

All ideas welcomed, and it's great to be back on the forum after my 5 year absence.

Subtle ways to make your car look better is to try to make it look more like the upscale models.

High end 17" or sport 18" wheels.
Tinted windows
Chrome door handles.
HID headlights.

Not a fan then? I personally love them. Although admittedly I've removed then recently due to the cold weather.

Actually the "high end" model is the sport. And that has colour coded door handles. It is the dynamic like mine that has chrome handles.

You're thinking too small my friend. the real high end bravo model is called emotion. It's just not available in the UK since you like your cars cheap.

There was a time you could configure an emotion model by adding every single option to a dynamic but that quickly exceeded £20k.

No it isn't. It's the Dynamic in the UK. The sport is an Active with just a body kit and rougher suspension. It's the Dynamic that has the toys and higher specification.

Ahh well that makes me feel better :D

I'd just always presumed the Sport was the top model. As I know It doesn't come with Climate control as standard but does have the better body kit, bigger alloys and all the traction control and ESP etc that the Dynamic doesn't without having it purchased as an extra.

My Sport has all of those, as well as full leather, Skydome, even the leather central armrest with chilled cup/can holder!

Yeh I think you mis read my post. I said that's what the sport comes with. I was saying the dynamic models don't have that as standard, although it does have the centre arm rest and cooler etc.
 
In the UK the model range went from Active, Active sport, Dynamic and then Sport.

Whilst the Dynamic may have had more creature comforts like climate control as standard the Sport was considered the top of the range model, with the Active as the bottom of the range.

That's how it's laid out in the handbook, doesn't mean it's going in range order with top of the range being last, that's what Fiat have always done, be it a Punto or Panda or Stilo.

Dynamic is always top spec, unless there is the Eleganza model in the range, but the Bravo never had that for some reason, and the Sport is always last listed at the back as its on it's own, for being better than an Active, but not as good as a Dynamic.

You only have to look through the standard spec list and pricing to know what is the top of the range, and it's always will be the one with the most standard kit, which is the Dynamic. Sport is for looks and road holding, and nothing else. It's basically an Active with a body kit and different engine options when you compaire version specifications.

The Sport was more expensive that the Dynamic as it had the higher level of kit with it. Whilst a lot of its kit may be more for handling/looks it still had more than the Dynamic.

Also the 2 Fiat dealers I've used both classed the Sport as the top of the range version of the Bravo, as has every motoring review I've seen as well.

Well if it's not going in range order it definitely has an obvious order to it. Alphabetical. Being a handbook I'd imagine alphabetical makes sense. I'd have to admit that the dynamic does seem to have more standard options, cruise control, climate control, arm rest and cooler, blue and me.

Although I'll happily admit as a dynamic owner. The sport models are much better looking. However I love my gadgets and the dynamic is very far from ugly.

The Sport has blue and me, cruise control and armrest as well, but also adds ESP/hillholder, bigger alloys, bodykit/spoiler/chrome exhaust, sport seats, sports pedals, sports suspension etc which is why it was more expensive than the Dynamic.

I also have a Dynamic and think the Sport models look better!

Dynamic has B&M standard, dual zone climate control and arm rest with drinks cooler, the arm rest and cooler is not standard on sport. I'll upload a copy of specifications when I'm home (away for Christmas ATM) and it'll show the Dynamic is the top of the range and the Sport a stand alone which is over the Active.
