Hi Fiat Forum!
Just signed up today but I've found the advice on this forum very helpful since I bought my first Fiat (aw) last year.
Enough brown-nosing. Guess what? I'm looking for advice.
I own a 57 plate Bravo 1.4 16v and the heater selection knob just turns and turns. It started occasionally failing to select a speed then got worse from there.. almost as if the thread or whatever keeps the knob attached to the spindle has worn out.
To clarify, this is the central knob that allows you to select the heater speed/strength. (it's stuck on "2")
I was going to remove the facia and have at it with some adhesives.
Having read the eLearn guide to removing the unit, it seems a knife like tool is required, no surprises there.
I just wanted to ask if anyone knows a way to remove it without said tool, or can anyone offer advice on how to remove the unit without causing any damage, cosmetic or otherwise.
I'm not averse to taking it to the dealer if that's what it's gonna take, I'd rather have a crack at it myself first if it's an easy enough job.
Thanks in advance for any tips.
