Technical Help with bulb holder?!

Hi

i was replacing a brake light bulb and one of the small mental compontants in the rear bulb holder (driver side) snaped off!

i wanted to see about getting a new bulb holder, i.e. not the entire unit - but local dealer wanted £90 for a full unit! and would sell the holder seperate. most places on ebay wont seperate the part to sell, and lcoal scrappy never ahs anything worthwhile in stock.

do you think its possible to solder another small piece of mental on? or does anyone have a spare bulb holder (as if!)?

Will probably have to solder or DIY it. Might be worth seeing if you can find a crashed damaged one with cracked outter casing, as inners might still be ok.

Hi, Thanks for the suggestions ppl.

i had thought about using a paper clip and soldering it into place but would rather get the real part.

Oh....and now the brake lights are stuck on!

seems its the brake pedal switch, so will have a look on the forum for that cure too.
