Hi

While driving today, my injection system warning light came on. The performance has been a bit iffy recently; when I have slowed down the revs really drop and lose power very quickly. It's also been a bit sluggish pulling away as well and the fuel economy doesn't seem to have been too great. I'm guessing these things are connected and a result of the injection system fault.

Any ideas what the problem might be and more importantly, what it may cost to fix? I've just had to pay a £300 excess due to some arse running into me so could do without an expensive repair job.

The model is a 1.9 diesel Multi-Jet.

Need to read the fault code. Could be anything.

How can I find out the fault code? Or can that only be done through a diagnostic?

The dash display simply said 'Check engine'

Need to be read with a code reader.
