Hello All

Just looking for some advice. I have been told that my air conditioning pump is knacked and have been quoted £500 for supplied and fitted. I was wondering what a decent price would be.

They did also say if I could the pump and it was in good condition they would fit that for me.

Any help would be appreciated.

It was the garage that did my water pump. I also asked them to check out the noise that I was coming from the engine and they adv that the pump was on the way out.

My AC compressor is making noises and my local fiat dealer has quoted me $2317 for a new one ex-Italy. That's GBP 1,370 before they've calculated labour! They know it's a rip-off because they also told me that if I can source it myself it would be cheaper. I'll try the shop4parts guys and see if they can help.

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried replacing the pulley bearing on the compressor pump to see if that fixes the problem. Given the cost of a new pump I figure it's got to be worth a try.
