Hello

In my 2008 Bravo plastic around the handbrake is fully broken and I have a hole.
Want to know if someone has a pdf with instructions how to dismantle the central part around the handbrake to get to this plastic so I can repair it.

Thnx ....

Are you sure that's normal? I just never took the time to notice when I took delivery of my car; I only noticed that gap in mine a little later. I am also curious about what options I have to fix that.

Stari...jebeno je to :) tudi razdirati... When I got my Bravo it was broken too, but I demanded that they should change the plastic under warranty. And so they did.I asked how they took it a part, and if I remember they started from the top where arm rest should be, and than from the rear. So they told me...I hope it helps. Keep it up, and cheers to Croatia.

Thanks for the ideas but still need guidance on how to dismantle the center console, because unfortunately a small piece of plastic that broke off and missing fell somewhere in there, so I need all to disassemble ...

you can literally just bend the plastic so it pulls out, the broken piece will be easy to reach with your hand, when fitting it back in turn it around and you loose most of the gap, another bit of cheap design, I think the plastic cogs on the climate motors use the same stuff as they are just as brittle

Mine is also broken, been thinking of replacing it with something like.. a piece of black leather glued to a piece of soft plastic (like a PET bottle). Cut the laminated piece to the form of the original plastic.. and stick it in.
It would be flexible enough not to brake and hopefully rigid enough to stay in place.

What do you think?

Small update as far as replacing broken plastic.
I managed to remove the plastic from the back of the center console (see the picture) so I have easier access to remove the broken plastic and I managed to find a small piece that broke off.
Of a thin flexible plastic and thick paper and using old plastic I made a new piece that I'm on both sides sticked with carbon wrap that looks attractive.
All that remains is mounting in the car and if I do it successfully will post pics to see how it looks.

mines broken too, in the same spot. I didn't even noticed until about a month after I bought it.

I finally had time to replace the broken plastic (It took me about 3 minutes for installation as the new part was flexible enough for easy assembly) with new and I have to admit that it turned out fantastic. It looks so good that I should produce it and sell it on eBay ... :)

I think I would actually buy that.

It looks very nice. I would buy that!
I'm sure you could sell them (tho at a reasonable price... say 30-40 % of what Fiat is charging)
We would appreciate a description of what you did there .. on what did you stick the vinyl on?
