I need to tell you guys about something that just happened. I was driving out my gate at night and turned into the road; it is a bit of a steep hill.

Now as I turned into it I saw the ominous xenon lights of a BMW of some sort come up right behind me. It was right up Thor's (my Bravo Tjet Sport) backside and I didn't want to risk him hitting my car as I was about to turn right into the next road so I opted to slow down as little as is possible and just gun it right and into the next road at a T-Junction.

I floored Thor as I turned in, trying to put as much space between me and the pursuing bimmer as possible and my back came out. I scrambled and then caught the drift and floored it as the bimmer's lights recessed about one car length behind me; with the smell of rubber filling my cabin.

I did not relent though as adrenaline coursed through my veins, dipping left and right into more roads; the bimmer now about 3 car lengths behind me.

I finally arrived at my destination and stopped and the bimmer, now clear as an e92 M3 stormed past me. He then did a u-turn and drove up to my window, I opened it and he clapped, apologised for scarying me if he did but congratulated me on Thor and I's performance.

Now I am not saying he couldn't beat me but I don't think he expected to have to work that hard for it. The Bravo is awesome!!:slayer::D

Nice one sir, and what an awesome name for a car:)

 yeah you know, I don't like to brag. Seriously though, We had a small discussion over what we would name my car. We considered Johnny (as in Bravo) went through a few more and then came to Blue Bolt (in honour of my cousin's "late" A3 the Black Hawk) and that became Zeus which then inspired Thor instead.

That's the thing right? It was the second time, last weekend, where the back came out on my Bravo and both times it was on Tar though Johannesburg roads aren't what you would call perfect. I prefer it to it understeering (which is a horrible horrible thing in my opinion - I hate the Volvo S40 and Toyota Corolla for that).

As you can imagine though, since it is FWD, it is a little trickier countering a drift. It did make getting away a little easier though.

Simple thing but, have you recently checked your tyre pressures? Mines over steered once on a roundabout, coz one tyre had a barely noticeable sliw

Wow thanks (y), I didn't actually consider that. I will do so immediately after work today.
