Hi,
I own a 2007 Bravo 1.9 Multi jet 120bhp. Ocassionally i have a glow plug warning failure message on the dash and the car doesnt always start brilliantly.

Have a fault code of P0683- Pre heating control unit.

ive replaced the glow plug control module and checked the glow plugs and I still get this fault occasionally. It only does it every few days but its annoying. Any ideas?

Replace the glow plugs?

As stated, only gets this fault every couple of days. If you had a dead glow plug it would act up all the time. If you have checked the voltage on the plugs and all seems fine I would take it to an auto electrician as it sounds like there is something else at fault.

I'd still replace the plugs. They don't cost much and if its an intermittent fault testing them doesn't mean anything. They may have been working fine during testing but still could be intermittently failing.

I have the 1.3 16v multijet engine, 2006. I recently changed the glow plugs. I did test the old ones and two were faulty. The first idication of the fault was the glow plug fail light on the dash. Having changed all four I still get the glow plug fail on the dash and it is still takes longer than it should to start. ( i retested the new glow plugs thinking the new ones may be faulty but they are ok) I will now replace the relay. Can you tell me where you got it from and the price of the relay you bought. And where is the relay located. cheers.
