Hi all,

I seem to have a strange issue with my climate control, basically one side of the car (drivers side) works perfectly. The other side is just hot, hot air regardless of temperature it's set to.

So far I've only tried the reset, where you hold mono and auto shortly after turning the ignition on, and disconnecting the battery for 30 mins and neither of these made any difference.

I've searched bravo forum and can't find any similar issue, is it something that anyone has had any experience of?

Thanks in advanced.
Mark.

loads of similar issues, one or more of the actuators has failed, you will be able to hear it whirring away, mine has both windscreen and temp on the passenger side failed, there a pig to get to, theres a guide in the stilo section if you having having a go, its the same system.

I had a go a few weeks back, managed to unplug the windscreen motor so i have constant airflow to the screen....but my temp on the passenger side is super duper hot

seems the actuator for temp on the passenger side is a right pain to get to due to some well placed metal sections under the dash, cant twist my hand round enough to even adjust it so its cool air

Hum, that's not what I wanted to hear. I was hoping there would be a nice quick fix i'd be able to do.

From what you're saying it's a entire dashboard out job in order to fix properly or a quick and dirty 'point it at the windscreen'

I imagine a pro would want a fair chunk of cash to do a job like that?

Hi, I have just bought a Bravo with the same problem, did you get anywhere with this?

I have the same problem with my fiat bravo 2008. My ventilation works only on windscreen, if I press a button to change from windsreen to a middle or legs it doesnt do nothing. I just hear a voice, that something is moving inside, but actually it stops to blow on windscreen and starts to blow "inside" without coming air out.
I didn`t notice any difference between left or right side, only top-middle-lower air blow. I have a metting with fiat service on Monday, i hope they wont have to remove dashboard totally. Fiat told me that there are 3 possibilities of mistake, but only at one is possible to solve it without removing dashboard out of the car.

Will say a little bit more on Monday if you like :)

but until than, one picture

same problem.... everthing goes normal at low temp. but air goes only windscreen at heating ..so, at official fiat service, they've removed all parts of dashboard... they told me that three of the actuator servos including air circulation one need to be changed. after a quick check I've discovered that servos are working but some actuator arms are broken. so, there is something called "repair kit" , approx. 6 £ , a small nylon bag of plastic thingies... but not including air circ. servo gears.. so, I did found a new one from a local scrap yard .. at the end, I've paid aprox 200 £ , 10 for parts, 190 for workmanship and new polen filter and air condition re-gas...

just got back from fiat service, one motor is dead and one is suspisious. The other 3 are ok. He will change two motors, they don`t change all 5 except if customer demands it. They changed only once all 5 motors at once. What do you suggest? For 2 motors, and labour work the price would be around 330 euros. Should i change all 5? one motor is 60 euros.

Hi all,
just got a Bravo 2008, and the climate control does not work, there is no fan or anything else working, no0 automatic or manual mode, is this an issue because I don't know how to set-up the system or?? please i need some help.
thank you

does someone knows what is the Id-number of this 5 little motors in dashboard. I would like to check prices online. At local fiat dealer is 60€ per engine. I would like to replace all 5 of them, so they are quite expensive.

Maybe someone knows url link where to buy?

Thank you in advance

Right, thought I'd re-visit this thread with an update.

My problems were purely on the passenger side, drivers side I can't help. (UK car, so right hand drive)

But basically after Fiat quoted me a huge sum of money to fix the problem and independent garages didn't want to take the job after short inspection. I decided to live with it...until this summer, been hot as hell recently huh.

So last night I decided to see if I could do anything and I was surprised how easy it was:

All three of the motors on the passenger side are accessible with only a small amount of dashboard removal.

The parts that need removing are the glove-box and glove box housing.

Once these are out you have very easy access to the two direction motors, and you can actually see the temperature mixing motor. Two of the screws can be taken out without any problem. The third is buried behind a metal pillar, but can be accessed (prepare for scrapped knuckles).

I then took a working arm from the direction motor and plugged it into the temperature one put it back on, turned the cogs so the air is going onto the windscreen until I can find some replacement arms/motors.

I've now got a working temperature on both sides of the car and it currently going to the windscreen while I order (try to find) new motors/plastic arms to replace the broken ones.

I thought I'd update this thread since people seem to think that it's a huge job and the entire dashboard needs to come out, well it doesn't. I'm not a mechanic or an electrician or even all that handy with DIY stuff and managed it.

When I do find the motors/arms and need to dismantle again I'll post some pictures to help people out.

I don't visit the forum too often, but I know there is very little info out there for the Bravo.

How simple was the dash removal, mines the same I know where the motors are and am slowly being cooked alive when driving just can't reach em

Just had the same problem in my Bravo. Driver side working fine, passenger side getting nothing but hot air.

Would be good to know whether it was simple or not to replace the actuators, as I might attempt it myself instead of taking it to a garage.

I can only speak for the Passenger side, but it took me about an hour (maybe a bit more) to remove all the parts I needed to in order to access the 3 motors for demister, direction and passenger temperature mix. Now I know where the screws are and how it all comes apart I think I could probably get the bits off in about 20-30 minutes.

Remove the glove box.
Remove Trim near the door.
You can then remove the glove box housing, once this is out you can easily see the 3 motors.

(Important note: There is something sat on top of the glove-box housing, looks very much like something to do with the air bag or immobiliser, I chose not to unplug it and set it to one side.)

The passenger mixing motor is the hardest to get to, two of the bolts you can easily put a socket on the third is a little more difficult and has wires and a bolt in the way.

I've yet to find anywhere to buy just the plastic actuator arms, the motors are about £70, but my motors work as far as I can see.

All - I have a MK.3 Lancia Delta which uses the same CC system. Any further guidance on Glovebox removal etc. Will probably be almost the same fitment as well........I have the same issue with Temp on Passenger side.
