I'm going to try and make the most badass Bravo on planet Earth, (without dropping a new engine in) but I'm probably going to need you guys to help me through some technical things and advise me on whats best because i'm no mechanic.
I have quite a fair bit of cash sitting aside because I was saving for a flat but I've decided that I can put up with my parents for a little longer and get my car all spicy and beast first, then save up again.

My plans for my 150T Sport are; (in no particular order)
- Fit the coilovers I just bought.
- Buy some wider wheels to fill out the arches a bit more (especially when lowered. might also roll the arches)
- Get a new catless manifold.
- Replace standard camshafts with fast road camshafts (sourced: est. price £500 not including shipping or fitting)
- Get a solid re-map and sell the TMC tuning box on.
- Removal of back seats. (very slight weight reduction, gotta be worth some 0-60 improvement)
- Replace front seats with Recaro's or something.

Those are just a few things off the top of my head that I feel I want to do to it.
It may take me a while to actually work my way through this list and get it all done but I will post all progress on this thread. I don't think I want to change the turbo, but if the turbo blows at any point I will replace it with the one from the AGP SS.

I'm guessing to actually do all of these things the bill will be over £2k but we will see.
I feel that there may need to be some more upgrades ontop of the fast road cams in order to deal with it properly. I'm trying to source a good performance tuning specialist nearby that will be able to help with everything that I can't do myself.

Why am I doing this? Nothing more than self satisfaction. I love the Bravo, and I said before i'm going to keep it and run it into the ground, so in doing so, I might aswell make it an absolute belter. (y)

Arch rolling, check out Chizfab.
As you've seen in my MM thread and your Widest Wheel one, without some serious tyre stretch, you can't go over 8.5J ET10-15. However, I think the other guys on here with 18x8.5's have ET30 without spacers, hopefully they'll be along soon enough. But for hard driving, my advise is 17x8's, 225/45 17's. I think Team Dynamics so the Pro Race 1.2's in this fitment :chin:

Just did a calculation. For what I have done (all the sets of wheels, all the springs, fitting etc) I am up around the £2500 mark already. I know I have f*cked about a lot, but your mods are a lot more extreme than mine, so I think £2k will be a bit low. I am hopefully wrong.

I can't help with any engine stuff, but I can't wait to see what you do with it (y)

Good luck bud :)

Thanks for the input guys.
Ascott: I'll maybe be requiring some help finding the best wheels when I'm ready to get them. You know your stuff when it comes to wheel measurements!

Tad: I already have a twin cone on it, makes the turbo louuud. :)

Rob: I had spacers on the old white bravo and it totally messed up the handling and feel of the car, and you can't really balance or track them with the spacers on so I'd rather have wider wheels even if it does mean more road friction just to avoid the nightmare I previously went through.

---

First thing to be done, purchase some nice black alloys and have them read to fit at the same time as the coilovers as I will be able to adjust the ride height and damping to make sure there is no rubbing.

My friend is checking if he still has my old spacers, so i'll just put them and the coilovers on until I find a nice set of wheels.

If you inquire about offsets, you can use the 1010 offset calculator to see the spacing behind the wheel; rule of thumb, try to keep it the same as the original wheels.

Or, for something more showy, Rotiform do the NUE in 17x8, 4x100, at roughly the same price as the Pro Race 1.2, so may be worth having a look at that. If you're dead set on putting the coilovers soon, just keep the stock wheels as they are; it's easier to measure where the new wheels will sit in the arches this way.

Those Pro Race 1.2's only come in 7" width!

I think the original wheels are 7.5".
The reason I need the width is because when you drop the car the gap between the edge of the wheelarches and tyres becomes huge.

If I can find a good place to do it, the coilovers will be on next week.

Stock is 17x7, the 18's are 7.5. Remind me to get a life at some point? :p

There are so many devils here, my advice is leave the car alone and get a flat.
Or do what I did, buy a coupe 20VT, on standard form, it will beat any bravos will thousands of pounds spent on it!!!

I realise what i'm doing isn't the most sensible thing to be doing, but I've been thinking about it for quite a while now and won't rest until I transform the car into an absolute nailer. Then I can happily get a flat :p

Think there's going to be a bit of delay until this thread actually shows any progress.
Was driving the car really hard the other day for about 5 hours straight without turning the engine off and now the turbo seems to be absolutely gubbed.

Doesn't spool up smoothly anymore, it comes off and on in short bursts of boost when you push the accelerator.
My guess is that it's the bearings because I didn't let the car idle before turning it off after all that hard driving. (n)
Could just be a leak though but I'll have it looked at.

If it is needing replaced, I'll put a better turbo in and I'll just go ahead and get the clutch and camshafts uprated while i'm at it.

Gonna ring these guys tomorrow - http://www.gimotorsport.co.uk/performance_tuning.html

They seem like the right sort of place i'm looking for and are only about 10 miles from where I live.
Gonna ask them about new turbo (or whether the one I wrecked can be salvaged), clutch and possible camshafts but I'm pretty certain with those mods it'll also need new fuel injectors, pump and a new cooling system. They do remaps too.

But we'll see ;-)

Could also get them to put the coilovers on.
All I know is I'm gonna be crying when I hear the bill. :p

Gave GI a phone and they said they'll take a look at it on Monday :) The guy seemed really into his turbo's so that's good!

GI Motorsport were really busy this week, they had like 7 scoobys lined up outside all waiting to be tuned up. One of the guys gave the engine bay a little check for leaks etc but couldn't find anything obvious, then he jumped in and I gave him a scoot up and down the road to show him what's going wrong and he agreed with me that it seems the bearings have been cooked to death without an oil supply.

He was saying if I wanted to improve the power I could look at getting a hybrid turbo fitted. He was also nice enough to offer to come pick the car up from my house next week!

A hybrid turbo is essentially a supercharger and turbocharger mixed together, where the turbine is constantly spooling from an electric power source so it almost completely eliminates lag.

Not had any quotes for prices from him though.
