hi was wondering if any 1 has fitted a boost gauge on a multijet ? iv got a 150 16v sport and want to fit a turbo boost gauge but dont know ware to plumb into for the signal ?

any help

cheers

I'm also thinking of fitting a boost gauge on my T-jet so if anyone has a good idea of how to do this, would be appreciated.

I thought all you fancy pants sport turbo guys had one on the display on the dash? :D

We do. But it doesn't tell you the exact psi the turbo is running at and if you have it remapped or a tuning box the turbo display pretty much has two things it can show you... nothing or full boost.

Analogue pressure gauges are great for detecting pressure leaks.

you must buy this first : [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-Diagnostic-Scanner-Engine-READER/dp/B004KL0I9I"]Bluetooth OBDII OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner, Scan tool: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51SYYvnslML.@@AMEPARAM@@51SYYvnslML[/ame]

and then use an app on your phone, if you use android, the best app is called Torque.

just bought and installed this and Torque app on my SE X10i

both working well (y)
have set a custom display with boost and coolant temperature, cant seem to get a intake temp sensor configured though

also checked for fault codes and car is 100% healthy

also includes an accurate fuel level display, will be interesting to compare to the one on the car

Here's how I made torque look in my car, much better than the crappy gauges it has in standard form:

I also have an xperia X10 so I can easily share this interface with you rob.

OBD with Elm is Fine. But if you remap with a box like Novitec or TMC the OBD boostgauge is not correct. Ecu dont now the right pressure.

You have to install a real boostgauge.

URL how to install.....send PN

sorry, my english is bat

I am looking at getting one of these readers, is it a case of just plugging it in then set up the app (is it torque pro by ian hawkins)

I am looking at putting gauges in my car but if this works it is much cheaper and saves messing about with the turbos itself.

Can this be plugged in all the time and be used on every journey.

Cheers
