Good morning All,

PLEASE HELP... My girlfriend manage to distroy one of her wheels over the weekend by hitting a nice big pot-hole on one of Sussex' lovely country roads. I have found one for £160 but i was wondering if anyone know anywhere cheaper that that?

Please have a look at the attachment to see the wheel.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this post and you help will be greatly appriecated.

thats about right that price tbh, ive been looking for a set of 17"s for my car and the dont often pop up, and when they do they only appear in sets, is it just buckled or is it smashed? as there may be more than just wheel damage

Your best option if you don't want to pay that is getting onto a breakers the instant a Bravo comes in, but finding one with that set of alloys will be next to impossible. Like Cainy said, the impact must have been massive so id get it looked at for other damage. I take it the wheel is totally past repair?

Hello, thank you - TBH i hadn't even thought about the tracking ect... She is driving it on the space saver at the moment so i bet have a little drive this evening and see if it's pulling to one side or anything.

Yes the wheel is past repair its not smashed but the impact has caused a pretty bad flat spot in the rim and you would never heat it and bash it back into a good enough shape to seat the tyre correctly.

Ok well i guess ill just got for the one at £160 after having a quick ring around at the local breakers yards.

Thanks again for your help

yeah, put a claim in. I got stranded on boxing day a few years ago with both lefts battered by a pothole. Got £200.

I tried to claim compensation from the council for damage to one of my alloys before (serious damage) and they kicked up such a fuss about the whole thing that I eventually just told them to shove themselves up their own ***. In the end they were asking for photographic evidence of the scene, including the wheel inside the pothole at the exact point of impact and an in-depth report of the incident... I just couldn't be bothered with all that to be honest.
