Evening All,

After finally getting to Drive the Bravo that we bought I have it a good looking over and noticed a couple of things that maybe someone could help with.

Factory fit parking sensors (Rear) When selecting reverse it buzzed the 1st time we drove the car which tells you that they are activated however this does not always happen but get close to an object and it does warn you, known issue?

As expected the handle for the under seat storage compartment is missing, if there anyway to get ths open and can a handle/lid be bought seperatly?

Son noticed a wire hanging down from behind the dash under the glove box, on closer inspection it looks like who ever retro fitted the cobra alarm was useless/lazy so I will rewire and reposition the wiring so it doesnt, should there be a cover so people with large feet cant kick that area? I noticed that there was a fuse box there, I thought it would have been behind the little cubby hole on the drivers side (This is RHD) unless this is only for LHD cars.

Apart from a few stone chips in bonet and rear badge that has had a little water ingress this car is brilliant, it rides well, quiet, good performance from engine etc etc. Very pleased.

Any info would be welcome

Thank you

yup fuse box is under there, how the frig you get to it i have no idea, the manual says its behind the drivers side

cheers guys ill try a fiat dealer to see how much the handles are and see if anyone knows about the parking sensors on here.

Cheers

Hey guys

The part number for the handle is 185117280 and is £24.87 plus vat, I think i will probably leave it at that price.

Despite the cost I decided to get a new handle. It's a bit of a fiddle to change it, there's two Torx-20 screws but there's very little space to get straight onto them, you either need a very stubby screwdriver or some sort of angled screwdriver.

However, you may be able to operate it without the handle. I've photographed the one I took off and circled the bit you need to move:

Move that down to unlock the catch (if you have reasonably nimble fingers you don't even need a screwdriver), and then you should be able to pull it open.

There should be a piece of plastic where the passenger foot well meets the back of the glove box. It will be rounded with tabs on where it slots into the foot well.

Also, the parking sensors (on my car at least) don't beep when I start the car, however if I leave the car parked in reverse and start it with the clutch depressed, they will beep if there is an object behind the car, wall for instance. Caught me out once when I thought something had broke but there was no other notification or warning on the dash. Could it be that?

Hey Gordanovich,

Nice, I had a look this evening and got it open, easy really I just hadnt bothered before, its not that big but sure it wil be useful for something. Thanks for the photo as very helpful.

Andysan
Cheers, i will look at ordering the cover as dont want the boy kicking under there, I'll tidy the wires for the alarm and look into the cost of the cover so cheers for letting me know.

As for the parking sensors, They have beeped a couple of times when selecting reverse, I have had it checked and they are factory fit rather than retro, hover 95% of the time there is no aknowledgement beep but they still work so thats cool.

Thanks for both your answers guys :0)

Hi Willow, sorry I'm only replying now, I hadn't logged in for a while.

I just went to the parts desk at a Fiat dealer and described it to them, they ordered it up for me and I collected it a couple of weeks later.
