ok, noticed today that inside the car, when its moving i can hear a sound like slightly binding brakes, but this cant be heard outside the car. it doesnt pick up with engine revs, just speed, but the noise doesnt change when braking.

brakes look fine (not had wheels off yet).

could it be a wheel bearing?

a bit of recent history, car is back from the insurers after being scorched in a car park fire.

the only part of the car i know is missing is that little spoiler thing under the car, but i cant imagine air noise being this

any ideas?

Is it altered with steering? Or is the noise constant at a constant speed?

We have alot of rain lately are you sure the discs don't just have a bit of a rusty surface?

it's not the rusty disc sound, I know that one!
