Does the missing bulb message even matter?

Yes, it can be quite annoying sometimes. For example, it comes on bright at night (or when driving with the lights on) when the rest of the dash lights are dim etc. And maybe it's because I'm getting old, but it is starting to p1ss me off...

Awesome thanks just ordered some

I have those for my side lights CANBUS proof but still get the message... Anybody have CANBUS proof lights that actually work?

I've got canbus LED number plate bulbs that work on my Stilo, but got some front side light ones and they don't work.

Each car will vary, depending upon the sensitivity of the setup, tried this at Auto Italia Stanford Hall last year. One set of canbus side lights, between a Alfa Brera, Panda 100hp and GP, one the worked in and 2 they didn't. Can't remember which one they worked in though. Depends upon the resistor strength in the bulb I think.

However I've only come across number plate bulbs and side light bulbs that are canbus safe (supposedly) yet to find the bigger stop / tail lights with the resistors built in.

What people need to remember though, yes banging on about the boring stuff again, is that almost all after market LED bulb units are not 'E' marked so not strictly road legal.

Equally make sure if going for stop / tail LED units, to get CREE LED units, far superior and brighter than standard LEDs :)

Just like to say when u plug in ur new side light bulbs if they don't light up. Unplug them turn them 180 deg and plug back in
