I have decided to trade my 2yr old Panda back into the Fiat dealership and got a good deal against a Fiat Bravo 1.4 Active 2007. Always wanted the new shape Bravo but couldn't afford at the time. What i need to know is what to look out for on these cars, any known problems? The car as done 31,000 with FFSH and will come with a 1yr Fiat warranty. Also does this model come with a spare tyre as the car doesn't have one?

Not all Bravos came with a spare wheel, some had the gunk / compressor solution :yuck:

I have only had 1 major issue with my Bravo - some of 6 speed machines have the gear cables freeze in cold temps.

I'd only change the head gasket if it actually needs doing -- head gaskets go -- almost invariably -- for a reason. Just keep an eye on the coolant level, work out how to bleed the system, check that the cooling fan comes on, and pull over and stop the engine if the car shows any sign of overheating.

Thanks for all your advice and looking forward to picking the car up on Friday. I read on a post that Fiat's have smaller coolant tanks so they can get to temp quick, so will be keeping my eye on the coolant.
