Hi,

I've currently got a 1.4 8v Grande Punto Eleganza and today put down a deposit on a 2010 Bravo Dynamic TJet 150 (y)

It looks to be in good condition except for I noticed the coolant was a bit low. It didn't drop any lower on the test drive and the dealer is supposed to check it out before the handover next week...

Also how is the glove box supposed to lower? It seemed to drop more to the drivers side so I don;t know if that is by design of if something is broken. No dings in the alloys, low mileage and paintworks fine with just a couple of scratches I will polish out a bit.

Quite excited, the TJet is a good bt more powerful than my GP but, on paper at least, still gets OK fuel economy. I got around 45mpg in the GP which is pretty close to its official figures so hopefully I'll see near 40 in the Bravo ith mixed driving.

Anyone know what the official name is for the Grey paintwork?

Hey man, good choice of motor! You won't be disappointed with the car and it's gonna be a massive shock to you how much more powerful it is than your puny Punto :p

I think the correct name for that shade of grey is "Digital Grey", someone else will correct me i'm wrong.

Looking forward to the pics, your thoughts and your contributions when you finally get her ^_^

shame its petrol ;)

Don't tell me the m-jet vs t-jet debate isn't just a Grande Punto section thing...

I don't the mileage to justify a diesel (y)

Thanks for the replies. Got the insurance sorted out, bit annoyed to say the least that as a new customer it would be £40 extra and as an existing customer its £100 extra but short of cancelling and going elsewhere they have you stuck :(

Will post more once I've got her, or should that been him (Bravo is male in Italian...)?

i love both petrol and diesel, its just the bravo didnt come with a good enough petrol engine, so i got the diesel

Well collected on Monday.

Was back at the dealer today to get the glovebox hinge sorted, which was done while I waited so +1 to the service dept. Awaiting a call about the missing service book which is to be replaced.

Cars really nice to drive, great to be able to cruise smoothly up hills without having to go down a load of gears or have the engine pulling high revs :) My only niggles design wise are:
1. No foot rest next to the clutch - my GP had this!
2. The climate control always seems to be set to blow to the windscreen each time I turn the ignition on despite me having set it otherwise before.

Swapped out the sidelight bulbs tonight for some Philips Blue Vision, much brighter and whiter light. Will look to replace the dipped beam bulbs in the near future.

More to follow.

Hope you like it, I've had my T120 since november :)

You get used to no footrest, but there is room to get your hoof round to the left of the pedals :)

Good luck with the Passenger side dipped :yuck: the driver's side has miles more room :D

I must look into replacing my sidelights :yum:

Well just back from a weekend away.

Cruise control has stopped working so a trip back to the dealer looks likely this week :(

The light goes on with the other lights at ignition and it will switch on when just started and still stationary so it doesn't seem like the actual control stalk. Having read about similar issues with Stilos I'm thinking perhaps clutch switch?

Changed the dipped beam bulbs today. Seem a bit better but still not fantastic - my GP was better. Must be down to the design of the lens.

Congratulations on the Bravo - they're on my list of possibilities for replacement of the Stilo early next year.

It's true about the clutch footrest - as long as it's got a space for your foot like the Stilo & Mk2 Punto, you'll get used to it. I had a footrest on my two Clio's & Mk1 Punto, but then didn't have it on the Mk2 Punto and soon got used to it, so the Stilo wasn't a challenge.

It is weird how some Fiats/Alfa's have a footrest & some don't, though. I think it's all to do with the Right Hand Drive conversion as more of their LHD cars have them

Seen a few comments about the headlights, which is annoying as my Punto's & Stilo have always had really good headlights - annoyingly it's not really something you can usually try on a test drive, as that'd royally hack me off if they're really not v good.

Hi there,

Congrats with your new Bravo... sorry to read about all your "back to the dealer" issues... hope everything will be sorted soon!

I have lived with the "Stormtrooper" for 3,5 yrs now and I am still loving it... Couldn't have bought a better car for the same money! :D

Cheers
