Is there anyway of over-riding these? All they do is confuse people and look a bit daft. I can see the benefit on an unlit country road, but I'm never on one, so it helps me not one jot.

Also, how can it be legal to have one foglight on when turning when it is illegal to have them on when it's not foggy?

Personally I don't mind this function but anyways......

If your car had a recent software update when it was serviced at a main dealer or some cars from late 2008 onwards then this will enable you to deactivate this function otherwise you won't be able to turn them off.

To turn off/on have a look through the menu by using the menu buttons on the main dashboard (you may need your lights on for it to appear).

Why don't you replace them with neons? or LEDs? Or olympic flames?

at first i was like, "what?!" and then I looked again and couldn't stop laughing after I saw Olympic Flames! :D Quality

I personally LOVE this feature, people go, your got a fog light out, and I go, no I dont my car it smart enough to know where its going :p

probably because it's type approved over in Europe. Just the same as how HIDs (factory fitted) don't comply with UK vehicle lighting regulations / directives, but because they've been type approved in the EU they've slipped in via the back door ;)

Clunky goes in for it's service in November. Will see about this software update to have the option to turn it on and off, just in case I am ever on a country road at night. Cheers for the help guys :)

My car is a 59 plate so it should have this software version. Was planning on going on a random cruise later so I'll check the menu's again (with the lights on). I take it should be in the MODE menu, where the controls for the adjustable headlamps are?

Yep it should be under the mode menu with dimmer, passenger airbag, set date etc. You should also find details of this in 2008+ user manuals.

Random comment time (from someone with out a car with B&M). They have voice recognition don't they? Anyone tried 'cornering lights off' or something

Voice recognition is hopeless for me. It really doesn't like weegie accents (n)

EDIT: Still haven't checked the menu. Completely forgot last time.
