Ever since I've had the TMC tuning kit fitting to my Bravo, when I accelerate the turbo boost meter on the trip computer zips straight up to the top almost instantly. This is clearly because the tuning box makes the turbo much more pressurised than standard.

I would quite like to have a much more accurate way of seeing how the turbo is behaving now that the car is under this much boost pressure.

How would I set a boost gauge up that would sit somewhere on my dash or on the nearside A-frame pillar?

Something like this;

The benefit of having such a thing is that you can diagnose how well your turbo is performing all the time and spot any leaks.

Most need a vacuum hose to come from the inlet manifold and this will have to come all the way to the cabin. unless you can get an electric one that has a sender unit under the hood. But you would still have to run the cables into the cabin

As for mounting a carbon pillar pod would probably look the nuts, or if you have taken your radio out and replaced it with a single din unit you can get inserts that hold gauges.

The car guage is electronic and reads its signal from one the sensors which the TMC is manipulating so the readings you get on the cars guage are not accurate, to be precise when you see the boost dropping off quite fast this is what the ECU is being told is happening to get it to increase and hold boost for longer. If you want an accurate reading there is a small outlet hose on the inlet manifold that you can 'T' a vacuum/pressure guage off as the others have said, this will give you a totally accurate reading of what is going on.

Did you try the aircon trick that shows the real boost pressure instead of the temp?
