For the benefit of anyone thinking of buying a Fiat car with the Dualogic Semi-Automatic gearbox I thought I would share my experience of it so far. I've had my Bravo 1.4 T-Jet 120 Dualogic for a week now and I'm really pleased with it. I was a bit nervous before as I had read reports of it being jerky and being in the wrong gear at junctions etc but with 500 miles clocked I have had none of these problems. Take off and low speed parking etc are far smoother and controllable than I could ever manage with a clutch. Obviously there is a slight pause each time it changes up through the gears but you probably only notice it because you are not doing it yourself. The best thing is it always seems to be in the right gear, I've tried to catch it out but it seems to know what you are going to do. Other benefits.. well, no clutch to worry about...hillholder works a treat...no crunching of gears when putting it in reverse...changes gear at optimum torque...doesn't over-rev the engine (unless you floor the pedal) I've not really tried the Economy mode as I don't want to risk labouring the engine by it changing up too early so can't comment on that mode. Early days I suppose but so far well impressed.

I've had a 1.6 MultiJet Diesel Dualogic for about 7 months now. Compared to the old Toyota MMT it's in a different world. Gear changes are smooth and no kangaroo jerks as you pull away.
I've also run in eco mode and have had no problems. Not brilliant with the turbo lag but otherwise very impressed.
I wish all cars were this easy to drive.

Tried using Manual Mode today, Wow.... so smooth and fast, this car is serious fun! mpg 36.4 so far (mixed driving)
