I had a issue with my gearbox on my 150 MJET, it crunched in 3rd gear, so i put it into to FIAT who confirmed the syncho had failed.
Being 1 month in its 3rd year warranty, they had to send a accessor down, who authorised a repair, only to be told they couldnt repair it because a special tool they need was on back order!.
They said they never done a 6speed box before and its a tamper proof gearbox because it has pre loaders inside
I was stuck, so i rang up head office and spoke to a senior member of staff having previously worked for FIAT who authorised a brand new box! The guy at FIAT said its a 2.0 MJET gearbox, it arrived 1 week later only to discover it was for a left hand drive model so the hydraulic pipes were pointing the other way, so i go new pipes aswell and a new clutch kit!! so im happy about that. The clutch feels really light and its just like the day i bought it. It took over a month to sort out.
I take it the 2.0 gearbox is the same as the 1.9? does this mean the gear ratio is different?
