Re: Kustom Grille. The Honeycomb- Style.

Thanks

There were several different versions to cheer up the front grilles, but
a total change was the best to do.

The honeycomb is not a new thing and seems to be often nowadays in
sportier versions, att least the lower grille.

All the credit of the modification goes to my father in law, so will show
these answers to him

Re: Kustom Grille. The Honeycomb- Style.

Not only does the honeycomb look the dogs b******s, but with intercooler, aircon condenser and radiator behind it, I'd be glad of the better protection.

I once had a stone go through the grille on a Hillman Avenger. Lost all my water and blew the head gasket

Well ain´t afraid of the grille for not protecting of flying stones etc.
and the looks is always a personal matter, as you just wrote.

Way to go Stormi!

I wanted to do that for some time ... instead I got to do the same stripes as on my stormtrooper + my son's name in crome letters on his white bed ....... he loves it...

back to the thread... I really like the honeycomb on the bravo... fits it well.. good job.. wanted it ever since I saw it on the fiat-bravo.info

Cheers - Stormi.

It's a shame no one manufactures these so that you can buy and fit them direct, it's a really nice mod stormi but it looks like a lot of faffing around, shame the aftermarket guys don't consider making more enhancements for our cars..................

Way to go MarkRacoon !

Stripes does the trick and excellent to hear that your son loves the
chrome lettering A future Fiat fan, perhaps

Yes. "Snowtiger " & "Italiano 118" made these first at the German Forum.
These three are all different in finishing, allthought they all share the same
honeycomb style

All the grilles will be finished with paint, black. So that will give the final
touch.

Ms- Design has one model for sale:

That looks really tasteful! Better than OEM in my opinion. Fiat take note!

Re: Kustom Grille. The Honeycomb- Style.

Whyd did you black out the chrome on the top part of the grille and then added chrome to the lower part??

Re: Kustom Grille. The Honeycomb- Style.

Because total black "is too black", for my taste. Besides, there´s
a chromed "Abarth" logo wich matches with the lower grille.

Re: Kustom Grille. The Honeycomb- Style.

Upper grille is now painted with glossy black and also the
lower one will get the same treatment.

Used last august 3d-tape to finish the grilles first, but must say that the
paint really did the finishing touch to the whole package.

One evening pic as the sun goes down:
