hi
i have a 120t diesel sport with 26k on the clock. monday afternoon i started my car up and i heard a very faint ticking noise coming from the engine, so i open my bonnet and it was coming from the front near manifold, turbo etc, my dad is well up on cars and had a listen and he says it sounds like the viens/fans in the turbo have gone,i am not driving my car at the mo because i don't want to cause anymore damage,

has anyone else had this?

cheers danny

anyone or this just me?

Mine sounds like diesel, but it's T-Jet.

:D

I think it's normal.

How often do you change engine oil?
Do you wait before stopping the engine?

IMPORTANT After a taxing drive, you
should allow the engine to “catch its
breath” before turning it off by letting it
idle to allow the temperature in the engine
compartment to fall.

Can you reach max speed?
Do you have normal acceleration?

ye i always let it cool down before turning off the engine even if i only driven the car for 5mins,i have the oil changed at 18k and its on 26k now, sometimes it will pull like a train then other time it wnt

Exactly why i change oil every 6000 miles regardless of what manufactuer states, especially when Turbos spin so fast, and rely on oil for lubrication.
