(G) Stiff Gear Change

HI All

Hope your having a good Easter, any one encountered stiff gear change on the 150 Multijet 6 speed box (had new clutch flywheel and G,box fitted) but still hard to engage first gear and stiff operation generally.

Not really ever had a problem with 1st. Sometimes trouble getting 3rd/4th but I think that's driver error while driving in an enthusiastic manner.

Does the gear stick stay at the centre when it in neutral? If not, I think it got something to do with the cable, thats what my dealer told me and they changing it tomorrow (when the part come in.) They also changing the EGR valve and new radiator. (Engine light comes on and they said the EGR valve cause that, didn't notice any drop of performance and the radiator was leaking, all done under warrenty, it will cost £1000 + otherwise!!!!)

I had terrible issues selecting reverse so the clutch was changed which resolved the issue (initially the gearbox oil was changed which didn't help). I still had issues with the gearchange in general (particularly clunky from first into second) and a change in gearbox oil has helped. Its not as light or slick as my partner's Bravo but is much better.
