Hi all,

Just wondering if the car can be remapped by any performance shop? What are the complications I need to look out for? Im in Australia and there arent many Fiats on teh road let alone garages that understand these cars...

Any half decent tuner with a rolling road would be able too remap your car mate, you prob get arnd 180bhp before u need things like a bigger turbo and intercooler etc.

View the thread in my sig, I've had my 150tjet mapped to 179bhp.

Unless the Tuner has some prior knowledge on the ECU of these cars or there is a mass market to explore on (neither true for the Australia nor HK markets), they are most likely decline to work on just a hand full of units. Alternatively you can look for one of those tuning box instead of a live map tuning, you should be able to get +20bhp fairly easily.

Hi Ausritmo, we offer a plug in tuning kit for your car which can be easily installed and removed. You will get 180ps and +40nm with the kit fitted. We have sold these units to other Fiat customers in Australia and Singapore and all are pleased with the results.
All kits come with 30day money back guarantee and 3 years product warranty.
Have a look on our website www.tmcmotorsport.com and feel free to PM or email me with any questions.
Regards
Daron

Hey Ausritmo,

Im a fellow Australian Ritmo (bravo) owner from Melbourne, I went down the path of getting the TMC tuning box. I cant recommend them enough. Delivery was fast, customer service excellent and really good performance increase. It was even quite easy to install..

Go for it!!

Have you got pics of it where you installed it? I am no tech head :(

I also am curious to know... in the long run will this cause any issues? Running it hogher then factory boost etc... will it cause excess wear and tear?

Plus will I need a new exhaust system to get this increase in power when I install the kit?

The kit will not cause any excessive wear on the engine, the boost is remaining within the manufacturers set safety limits. I know from reading other posts that some of these Fiat engines had faulty turbos from new but I think those were all replaced under warranty.

The exhaust is not necessary but will help you get even better performance. One thing I do strongly recommend is to use super grade higher octane unleaded with the kit.

Cheers

Ok so what power gain are we looking at when the Sport button is pressed? Will that be safe too? As it will mean more power then claimed...
