hi people , got my bravo in jan this yr, its 1.9mjet 150 36k miles, was lovely and quiet when i brought it specialy being a diesel, ive noticed lately when starting from cold it sounds like a bag of nails and tappy it is slowly getting louder every morning but once warmed up its fine... ive also noticed which is buggin me that when reved up with the bonnet open i can hear the EGR valve rattling loudy which it never used to do !!! power seems a bit intermitten at times aswell.. There seems to be like a whirling noise on idle is this normal ?? ive took it bk to the dealer ship and they said theres nothing wrong with it, i feel there thobing me off because it was never like this when i got it.. i even showed the bloke the noise and he went "oh yeh doesnt sound too good"... they said the noises are all normal..

Anyone get these sort of noises or feel there car is overaly loud when starting from cold compared to how your brought it???

thanks for the pointless reply... i take it you own a T-jet!

Mine is exactly the same. A number of other owners have same issue. Do a search.
Dealer says normal.
Just turn radio up a bit now when cold. Noise there for about 5 mins or mine is.

Yes, I own a T-Jet.
The bit above my avatar is a bit of a giveaway.

Pointless? That would be bumping a post after only 90 minutes IMHO.
Chill. A noisy diesel is not a matter of life or death. It's life with a diesel. ;)

Well it is important to me that its all ok as the car gets used 6 days aweek, i have no holiday time left to get it sorted out so im having to ask the boss for favours and time out of my lunches to get it there and get bk...

I never noticed your avatar, but i can tell you t-jet owners from a mile away lol Diesel haters!!!..

my car gets used 7 days a week... and i to have to take time out of lunches... but actually not to get to the garage... to go to the hospital ... used to be at the garage every other month quite a bit with my stilo but didnt bother me beause i had a rare fun car :D

ive noticed mines a slight bit nosier these days as on start up, but ive only had mine since end of may, so noticed that as the colder nights and mornings have drawn in its getting a bit worse but goes after a few minutes.... my stilo was exactly the same and when the warmer nights and mornings approached it got less noisy :)

Diesels for weasels.

jealous... my 150 is cheaper to insure then the 120 tjet ;)

Diesel 1.9 150 best thing Ive bought... So far

agreed (y):p
