Review:

Immediately the first thing to hit you is the being able to hear the dump valve, now it has a very pleasant pssst sound :D. I then took it for a quick drive the noise coming were amazing, lots of whistling, dump valave, and just a little chatter plus a slightly improved induction noise. OVerall very impressive in the sound department.

In regards to performance, can definitely notice improved throttle response, it revved more freely, i have to say i am very impressed so far. Just made the engine feel a little looser. (y)

I am planning to add the TMC tuning box soon so hopefully this should help get the most out of it.

Overall very impressed.

Also some of you may remember i added a head unit so heres a quick pic of it fitted, no prizes for guessing but a very good piece of kit ;):

my hands got cut to shreads though, there is a bugger of a bolt holding the air box on which you have to do pretty much blind, fiat don't make things easy for their mechanics!!!

looking forward to adding the tuning box should have 180bhp+ after that.

it is nice to see another GSR fitted and running without problems
greate that you feel how improved your 150HP engine

i wish that one day my kit will arrive too

how long did you wait for yours?

I had to wait a little while, about 5 weeks all in, got stuck in customs for a few days as well.

Have to say though was well worth the wait.

WOW... looks gooood!

Is the filter itself protected by the wheel arch inner lining?

Cheerios

I was concerned the filter wouln't be protected, but it is fine, in the same position as the stock. The bracket holds it firmly in place, and is protected by the bumper in front, and the archliner in the rear, though if you want dsirect airflow you can just remove the fog light/or cover as it sits right behind this.

cewl Gib,

Looks really good - I am not too skilled mechanics wise... do you think the average joe like me can install the kit?

I am actually speaking to BMC Filters (italy) about constructing a CDA induction kit... my friends got one in his alfa 156GTA :D I hope it doesnt matter that I linked to this thread just for reference?!

though - the GSR looks good and comes in red :D

Cheers

i'm no mechanic, just take your time, and work methodically its pretty obvious what to do, some bits a little tricky and can be fiddly, but anyone should be able to do it.

Sounds good. :) If BMC cant make an induction kit for me - I will definately consider the GSR :slayer:

I'm giving up on ever getting a response from Peter. A shame, really. But terrible customer support. Lost a lot of respect for the guy, especially since I saw him online like a week ago, and he didn't reply to any of my messages.

I'm still super pleased with my GSR. My car literally sounds like a V8 when I gun it, especially through tunnels. I'll make a little video of it soon :D

Today was the BIG day for me, as my Bravo got the intake kit. Using the
the Sprint Filter + Dynamic Carbon air box, the Martelius Exhaust did the
installion.

Same feelings as GibBravo had ! Revs really freely from 2000 and up and
the kit gives a deep, pleasent sound. Too bad that roads were icy, but
as the spring comes, full throttle will be given. Expect also few extra
horses now + some torque (y)

Also Martelius placed the kit in a same place that GibBravo has. The best
place, but one choice was behind the left front light. It would have made
changing the bulb harder, though.

Whitebravo ! : I have just 1. mile to the nearest tunnel ;)
