Iv only went and lost the bloody remote central locking key and I’m struggling with the daft normal poor mans key...has anybody a rough idea how much a new remote key would be???

Not a lot? I got told not to lose my key as it's going to cost me about £120 for a new one!

Is it possible to get a new remote key if you don't have the code?

I got my Bravo from car supermarket. It was a fleet car previously and somewhere along the line the code card got lost.

th key is around £80 plus the programming which will be around £40

the dealers can get the code card for around £20 on top

Okay wasn't expecting £120 FFS!

How can a key cost that much? That's ri-goddamn-diculous!

No-one should have the card. The insurance companies insisted on it. You have to go to the local friendly Fiat dealer who have access to the code database.

Monopoly. The Sh**roen dealer charged £35 of a wheel nut key for SWMBO's car

Hope you have the master key, otherwise the Fiat dealer can only supply the key, not make it work. to get the immo to work you need to obtain a programmble rfid chip and get it cloned from your existing key.
You need the unlock code for the remote, occasionally it is available from fiat, but rarely.

BTW if you dont have the master Fiats cost will be about £900!. + £200 for the remote receiver

thanks ppl ill let use know how much i get quoted from fiat but if its the 900 mark then ill live without it

Should a new remote control be necessary, contact a Fiat Dealership, taking with you the CODE card, a personal identity document and the car's ownership documents.

The owners handbook is lying. Ask your dealer / search previous posts. I asked the same question when I got my Bravo 15 months ago.

The code card is not much help, you can manage without it. it contains:-
1. Mechanical code, thats the profile of the key (which can be copied in a heel bar).
2. The emergency start code (useful if you lose all keys, but a pain in the neck).
3. The remote unlock code (this is OCCASIONALLY entered by the selling dealer, but very rarely).

You will see from this that no codes that relate to the electronic transponder are available (or recorded anywhere).

You can get a working key from ebay and cut off the blade, but you are still stuck without the unlock code. If it is stored at Fiat or their security agents they will give it you for a small fee, but... the remote code may not be recorded, then you wil pay £20 for nothing.
