Is it true that when fitted in the factory the glass has a naturally darker tint, but when fitted retrospecively a film is added to the clear glass surface ? Has anybody had their windows tinted retrospectvely and is the quality good ?

Yes.

Lots of people.

As with everything, there are good and bad examples out there. I've seen a few over the years that have/develop air bubbles, and some that start to peel off after a while, but others that look just like the factory-fitted glass and last for years.

That is true !

... but you can get pretty close, with good quality films :) Allthought,
it leaves the back window left with a light stripe. ( Between factory
tinted/ normal glass.

you can't get close to the standard tints on the bravo because of the way the rear window is made. you can't get a uniform tint because the edges are already blacked out. same problem for the GP.

I have the standard tints and the difference is huge when I park next to a bravo with aftermarket tints.

Yes, that´s what I meant also with the rear window.

Still, like the the tinting in my own Bravo, better with these
than the original ;)

Hope they keep in shape and no bubbling. They gave allso
3- years warranty for the product.

Factory tinted are exceptionally good looking and sensational
to watch !

Thanks for your replies. I think I'll stick with the standard glass. I regret not ordering it originally now !
