Hi guys, I put my name down for the reddot remap on the 21st this month, it will cost £200. However, I got a quotation for full cat back stainless steel exhaust system, £375 all inclusive from lonlife over the weekend and the workshop is just a few street down my home. Anyway, I couldn't afford both on the same month, which one should I do first? longlife exhaust or remap? any opinion or suggestion are welcome. (I think if I offer to pay by cash, it might be a chance they will take less than £375, what do you guys think?)
 
Exhaust first then a remap! That way the remap can take into account the exhaust and give you bigger gains

get the exhaust done before remap so when you do the remap will get better gains, you should do any performance mods airfilter etc before the remap togain the biggest advantages and you should be able to work them on the price
 
It is ss304, dont think gold plated will look as good. They are custom made and I got to choice from different type/ look of rear box as well as noise level. It also comes with life time warrenty. Ppl have it done seem to think it worth every penny. :rolleyes:

well just seems bloody expensive to me what ever it is.

most of these exhausts are made poorly too.

How much they will charge for a full cat-back system roughly?
I would like to get the exhaust done then remap, but we talking about £200 remap + £375 exhaust + £350 2nd service from fiat whihc due this month, it is nearly a grand there, i think I might get in trouble if my misses find out. :rolleyes:
the sensible thing to do is exhaust then remap, but the gain of the remap is just too good and I don't want to wait any longer. :bang:
 
GSR + Remap (£380) is about a million times better than an exhaust. Get an exhaust when you've got the spare funds in a few months time, Peter usually offers free map tweaks so would probably update your map after you got an exhaust for free.

if the exhaust is louder than a standard system in good working order, the mot can fail it.

I will choose one as quite as possible, hate those loud rear back box, thats why I choose longlife instead of some off the shelf item.

i would think they will beat or match that quote at least, they are good welders too, they also offer all the different shape tail pipes and so on, Ive seen the quality and looks excellent to me, nice thick pipe too,
all these places offer lifetime warranty,

Hi Peerzy, I do aware that the GSR with remap will give me more performance than the exhaust, but after reading a few story on the net about the GSR kit then I'm no so sure.
Exhaust will give my Bravo a different looks (hopefully better look!!) compare to other bravo, different noise as well as "some" performance gain.
I think you have the remap and GSR on your T-jet right? any problem you experianced so far?

Cheers beau, sorry i didn't say, mine is a mjet 150, they doesn't seem to have one for my model yet.

Cheers, might give them a call tomorrow and get a quote. i take it they don't open sunday? so it wont be possible get it done on the 21st June RR day? :bang:
Or I will try my luck with my visa card and hope the misses wont find out until I paid them off!! :devil:

they are about to chat to, but i dont think they will work with us all there because we will all get arc eye
