Has anyone had gearbox problems with their 1.9 multijet 120 active bravo?

I bought mine 2 weeks ago and iv only done 200 miles and now its really hard to get into reverse and sometimes wont go into 1st are 2nd gear nearly had 2 accidents today due to not being able to get it in gear.

Any ideas

its in the fiat garage (under warranty)but just wondering what could of caused it and if anyone has had problems.

Are the gear changes crunchy even when its been warmed up?

I've had my gearbox replaced for that very reason. I dont remember having difficulty actually getting it into gear though!

The reverse always hard to select on my 150mjet, just the same as my stilo 1.9jtd, I have to force it in every morning. no problem with other gears though.

no crunching jus wont go in gear its hard to explain

I get the same. 1st to 2nd is a bit crunchy when cold but does improve after a long journey when the gearbox has obviously warmed up. Sometimes reverse is impossible so I tend to leave it in reverse when I park up at night. Gearbox oil has been changed which helped a little. It'll be on the list of things to put right at its first service in October.

Well i took my Bravo 1.4Tjet for a service last wednesday and asked them to look at a suspect wheel bearing, it turns out that the Gearbox has a faulty bearing in it and will need replaced. now i know it has a huge mileage on it i.e 77000 in 14 months but needing a new gearbox is a bit poor isn't it???

i all fixed now (touch wood) the mechanic at fiat said the cable was getting hot on something (didnt say what) so the wire was too long until it cooled and it was fine but he says its had a new cable and altered were the cable runs and its bein briliant since

Well i have my Tjet back complete with new Gearbox, i'm not sure it's resolved what i beleve to be a wheel bearing Problem but we shall let it go and see what happens.

And yes it is 77000 miles in14 months. this is only possible if the office you work grom is in London and you weekend residence is in Scotland!!!!
