My replacement filter just arrived and it's huge. Will fit it tomorrow, and see if there is any difference.

 Put it somewhere where the air its sucks in is cold! (y)

It will go in the original air box casing. It replaces the original air filter

I was wondering if there would be any performance improvement with a new air filter? I'm not finding the performance in standard guise to be an issue but if there is any way to eek out a bit more power and performance without affecting the insurance (will a K&N air filter affect the insurance?) then I'm up for giving it a try...

Where is it located in the engine bay and what do I need to order? I'm clueless as to the actual component parts - I've got a vague idea how it all works but don't know the actual specifics...so any help would be appreciated.

Afaik, k&n has a panel filter only for the 1.4 16v and mjet engine. Not for the tjet. Will instal mine today and see if there are any improvements. K6n has a million mile warranty. On tje tjet it' located on the right side in front of the wheel

hi Speljac,

What is this exactly? I thought that the replacement air filter looked more like this (K&N replacement air filter for the GP 1.4 TJet):

Do you drive a GP?
