  1. Whats the warrenty on the Bravo's (Are they all 5 year or some of the earlier examples only 2 or 3?)
  2. Is it only Active trim that is missing Blue&Me?
  3. Is the warrenty transferable (as in I can still use all 5/3 years as a second/third/forth owner)?
  4. Whats (in your opinion) the best place to be looking for a 2/3 year old Bravo (Autotrader/Fiat Dealer/Local Misc Dealer?) and how much should an average mile example in Dynamic/Sport trim (Tjet 150) set me back?
  5. Anything I should look out for (service working that needs to have been done, dodgy batch, clutches go after XX miles? etc)?
  6. How well does the Tjet150 remap after a GSR? I would assume not too good because it's already quite well tuned and is it noticably quicker after a map/GSR?
  7. Do any/all have ESP and how would I be able to find out which ones do if the seller does not know?
  8. Whats a realistic MPG figure and does the more expensive fuel help (can the engine take the higher RON?)
  9. Whats the main difference between Active--->Dynamic and then Dynamic--->Sport and is this consistant with all Bravo's or has the range changed at all?
  10. Anything else I should look out for or hunt for?
  11. I've heard the driver leg room is terrible for the taller chaps, anyone comment on how it feels to drive if your 6ft2+.
  12. Do all Bravo's bar the basic 1.4 have the 6 speed 'box still?
Ta :D

Earliest ones are 3 year.

unsure.

There is a card with the handbook to transfer warranty.

Wats (in your opinion) the best place to be looking for a 2/3 year old Bravo (Autotrader/Fiat Dealer/Local Misc Dealer?) and how much should an average mile example in Dynamic/Sport trim (Tjet 150) set me back?

Think you'd have to go to Italy to get a 2 year old one. Fiat's prototype might be nearing 3 year old.

Anything I should look out for (service working that needs to have been done, dodgy batch, clutches go after XX miles? etc)?

Just check any recalls for an individual car have been carried out. No common issues so far *touch wood*

Best to ask GSR.

Do any/all have ESP and how would I be able to find out which ones do if the seller does not know?

Find a steep hill. Hold the brake, select first and release the brake - if you start going backwards - it doesn't have ESP!

Whats a realistic MPG figure and does the more expensive fuel help (can the engine take the higher RON?)

Depends on engine spec and driving style

Whats the main difference between Active--->Dynamic and then Dynamic--->Sport and is this consistant with all Bravo's or has the range changed at all?

Think it's detailed on the Fiat website.

Anything else I should look out for or hunt for?

rear parking sensors - that back end is bigger than you think.

I've heard the driver leg room is terrible for the taller chaps, anyone comment on how it feels to drive if your 6ft2+.

I've heard people 5'7 complain, and people 6'4+ praise it. Guess it's all down to personal preference.

Think the 1.9 multijet has a 5 speed.

Went for a test drive today in a Tjet 120, was impressed.

The dealer has an ex-Fiat (He said someone at Fiat at driven it for a year then it had been shipped to them) owned car for sale.

07, not sure on the mileage, I think about 10k though.
Tjet 150 in Dynamic trim.

Needs a service but he said he'd throw that in if I pay the tax.

£7995, which he insisted was non negetiable because Fiat HQ had set the price.

Loved it, had really bad looking blue-y seats but I'll just get some nice seat covers or something anyway.

BTW Fiat Aldershot (Mills Lane) was brilliant, the guy was great, worked out all kinda prices for me spent loads of time and wasn't pushy. Richard Sampson is a credit to Fiat :slayer:

Good price? Has no other paid for extras apart from tints on the back.

Bumpy :)

Going back there tomorrow with the intention of buying, just out of interest he said there was no way he could play with the figure of £7995 but is that just him saying that or is he likley to have a bit of leverage?

If I can't get money off I'd at least like a few things thrown in (Cat mats as i didn't check if it had them, had a funky Fiat 500 mouse which was £20 for the misses and he said it needed a service and tax and he'd cover one of them).

Is the 150 much faster than the 120?

However he says I can't have a test drive cause there not insured the drive it? Plus it's got a dead battery so a new one is on order and should be in sometime this week, is this a sign of a duffer or nothing to really worry about?

How easy is it to fit a sub/amp to the stock HU? It's got blue and me (so does that automatically mean it's got Ipod connectivity?) and could I just get Fiat to get a factory one put in? Not really up for paying Halfrauds to do it after seeing what they did to a mates Corsa.

Would appreciate some replys before tomorrow midday if possible so I know what I'm in for when I hit the negotiations.

Cheers

There is always room for leverage ;) but that does seem like a pretty good price so i reckon £7800 would be realistic.

I wouldnt imagine this would be a problem, not much to ask is it. Ask him to service it AND tax it. Its kind of jack to sell a car that needs a service AND tax, if he says no, get him to take the off the value of the car what you need to tax/service it with.

I found it much faster, yes.

Its true HE cant drive it if he is under 25, but you can! He can take a backseat.

Sounds like he has just made two excuses, if the battery is knackered, then why is it knackered? Sign of mistreatment maybe?

I dont know :(

Yup your ipod will connect to it if you put it in the slot, but will only play Windows Media format (most of my itunes songs were a valid format anyway) Ask him for a demonstration if worried!

Not really, he dont sound like the best dealer and if he wont knock anything off, then he wont do this for you.

Dont be afraid to push him around, HE WANTS TO SELL THE CAR just as much as you want to buy, if you're not happy with any aspect of the deal dont be afraid to push for it or walk away, chances are hel call you half an hour later saying he can now do the deal you want. (Stating you will 'have a look at the rival dealership, thanks for your time' wil have him panicking.

Dave

Went along and got it.

07, 11k

Paid £8200 in cash but got:

  • New battery
  • 12 months tax
  • Full service
  • He's gonna swap the alloys for a set of two tone ones
  • Tiny scratch on passenger size back door that he's gonna t-cut

He jumped the battery and I got a spin in it, he's only 24 and let me drive it straight from the dealership where as the 120 he drove for a bit.

Felt faster, not sure how much but was a nice drive.

With everything he said £8500 and I said £8100, he said £8265 and I said £8200 and he nearly let me walk away over £65!

Very happy, it's in Saphire blue as well and Dynamic trim, no ESP, no sport button as well (thought all 150's had this?).

Gotta wait till 1st December to pick it up cause they need to get the log book and do all the work etc. which is a bit pants.

Only offered me £300 for my W reg mk2 with 64k on the clock so gotta look at selling that now.

It's quite easy to install the sub/amp.
If interested ask me for a detailed tutorial.

Yeah gonna get it done so that would be great, obviously can't do anything till I get the car on 1st Dec and will probs leave it for a bit to just enjoy the car before I start messing it up.

People on a general motor forum seem to think I didn't get the best deal and should have brought a Focus/Mondeo/old 3 Series....

The Dynamic doesnt have a sport button :)

People will always say 'should have bought a mondeo/Beemer... Etc.' Little do they know. I test drove everything, this was by far the best overall.. I bet they have never driven one, just because 'its a fiat'

Was between this and the 3 series in the end.

Done a few searches and can't find anything about remapping a 150 Tjet?

Can it be done and is there a GSR that can be brought?

Anyone got any graphs or anything?
