Went for a 1.9 multijet 150 Sport with:

  • Lent paint
  • Dark tint
  • Climate control
  • Rain + dusk sensors
  • Rear parking sensor
  • Heated seats
  • sunroof
  • MP3
  • Rear elec windows

Maranello red

Cost 18,705
minus 20% + £650 cash bond (via a staff discount (I'm not staff, but have access))
minus £1k through a complaint about my Croma (many issues over 2 years) - very good of Fiat to do this with the staff discount

Total cost just over £13,300!!

Downside is I only got a little over £5400 px for my Croma (staff discount again...).

I wanted to keep my Croma for longer, but my hand was forced with the problems. But a Bravo of this spec at this price - I'm well happy!!

I checked at the end of August with the dealer. It still wasn't built (August mostly a dead month for Fiat of course). Any ideas when this will be likely - I don't want to pester my dealer yet. For this spec the dealer was saying about 8 weeks when I ordered in July.

It doesn't hurt to phone them up and just check everything is going ok. I phoned up, or dropped by every fortnight just to check everything was still going ok. If you're friendly enough, ask how they are - how's business etc - then they're not going to get sick of you. Make it so that the visit is almost social, and the checking of the status of the car is just a small part and they won't even know that you're checking up on them!

No the Maranello red is lenticular. (though my dealer admitted the difference is that Fiat can charge you a bit more for it )

On delivery, we ordered early Aug, and it was built early sept. We got it in the first week in October

Must admit when researching the the differences between them all I ended up learning was about lenses. Couldn't find anything about the paint.

I havea cool jazz blue and it is very dull when the sun aint shining but when the sun comes out the paint has a real sparkle but i dont think it is any more than metalic would have. And it doesnt change colors either so i dont know what the linticular expense is for to me it just looks like metalic

SO what is Linticular paint ??????

My car was an ex demo i never paid for the paint LOL
