I went out this morning and started the car as normal.

It started normally but right away seemed to be struggling to idle. Was very rough and seemed as if it was due to cut out at any point. The engine management light was also flashing. I gave it a few revs(about 2500rpm) a couple of times but nothing improved.

I turned it off after about 15secs, waited a few seconds, then re-started the engine. This time not a problem. No light. No idle problems. Nothing. It's also run fine all day and started perfectly all day (about 5 start ups).

The only thing i had done the previous day was jack up the car and remove the drivers side front wheel to clean it (the drivers wheel had a load of dirt stuck to the inner rim after a drive along a ver muddy path the previous day). I didn't start or move the car the entire day before. it simply sat in the drive all day.

Weird one. Any ideas what may have been wrong?

1.4 T-Jet by the way :)

Well it's funny you should mention the delivery of my fiat Bravo has been delayed by the Lease company due to the Engine Management light coming on so it's had to go to the local dealer to get sorted.

Sounds like a miss-fire! Any faults would be recorded so I would get it straight down to the dealership and get a diagnostics done on it as it's a brand new car and obviously free of charge!(y)
