Hi all

Bravo dynamic 57 plate 5000 miles 150 BHP Mulitijet JTD
Has anyone experienced a whining (spinning) type noise very noticeable in second gear when accelerating hard?
When I hear it I can’t make up my mind whether its transmition noise or just boost and engine noise any idea’s guys

As you say it happens when accelerating hard, it sounds to me like it's the turbo... (although turbo's do tend to make more of a high pitched whistling noise to my ear!)

Has this noise just come on or are you listening out for it now you've detected it?

Accelerating hard a make higher pressure inside the combustion chamber, the louder the noise, so the Unijet system combines very high injection pressures.

There's quite a lot of noises when accelerating hard in 2nd.. engine, turbo, tyres

The uniJet Turbo Diesel is a quieter engine for a diesel up to 8 dBA quieter dependent on engine speed.
