All depends on the driver. The only way you will know if by test driving them.

I don't have a sport button, just "remote control steering" and "scrub tyres now" buttons

Real life experience is that the on boost surge in power is noticeably bigger. Doubt the car is much quicker but you do feel it.
Handling wise the 2 cars are not comparable.

If it's being floored, I don't notice much difference in performance between sport and non-sport mode. The throttle does become more sensitive at low openings which, in my mind, "tricks" you in thinking that there is a lot more oomph.

What is nice about the sport mode is that the steering tightens up a bit. For all the other extras, the price difference between the dynamic and sport verisions is well worth it!

So the steering tightens too. I asked the dealers if the steering changes in Sport mode, and they said "no, only gives a bit more torque". And they still don't have a 1.4 T-jet 150 test drive car

Ask another dealer? Sometimes it's worth travelling a good distance to see what you need to.

I've been to all 3 showrooms in Bucharest, in one of them the sales person I talked to didn't even know about the presence of the 'Sport' button. I've also been to the dealer in my home town - not much success there either. All they can do is show you a catalog and read the prices and the options from a list. What more can I say... guess that's one of the reasons Fiat has such a bad image here.
