Collected my Bravo Dynamic Multijet 150 on the 20th September and unfortunately there are a couple of "issues" one resolved and one not yet resolved.

When I got home I thought I would check the wash - wipe. When I tried it the wipers were flopping all over the place and nearly came off. Oh dear I said to myself

On inspection it looked as if the wrong type were fitted as there was no way on earth the wipers would have locked into place. Never mind, I said to myself, perhaps I'd better check under the bonnet and make sure there's some oil in the engine - (there was!).

I looked at the washer bottle level and thought there doesn't appear to be much liquid in there so I topped it up. When I closed the bonnet and started to walk away I noticed a rapidly expanding pool of water on the floor from the washer bottle area.

So, I spend the rest of the day at the dealers while they looked at these faults. I did have to point out that non operational wipers are a safety issue otherwise they were reluctant to fit me in at short notice. The wipers were replaced with the correct ones and the washer bottle has a leaky seam and a new one is on order to be replaced next Saturday.

So much for the PDI eh?

I was relieved that there were four wheels on it and the tyre pressures were correct.

Otherwise, I'm really enjoying driving the car.

Yeah, I had a few PDI problems - I need to get a warranty claim in for a new mirror back when I'm back in the UK.

Missing the car actually :(.

Bizarre! There always seem to have been two reasons people go off FIATs. Improvements to the cars and improvements to the dealers were both needed. Well, they seem to have worked on the cars and yet the dealers still apparently are a work in progress. Yet what I consider bizarre is that by delivering a lousy service they are not only doing the manufacturer they claim to represent a disservice but cutting their own throats by alienating customers both actual and potential. Most people won't bother to tell anyone about good service but they'll tell everyone who will listen about the bad.

Carrying out correct PDI procedures (including EOBD roadtest) is something that will come into place.Fiat know that too high a percentage of faults occur within days of customer recieving car.

I certainly would drive out of the garage in a car not correctly roadtested & PDI'd by a apprentice!

(p.s.there are some excellent apprentices out there by the way so i'm not generalising[sp?]them all)

Certainly the First dozen Bravos at my dealership were carried out by me and the other tech that went on the launch training, they went out perfect and any faults we had found corrected and a Product Technical Report sent to Fiat on each fault. Alot of the dealers are trying very hard, and dont slag off the whole network on a few cases with Bravo. Personally at our dealerships, the techs do the cars, they may get QC'd, the valeters then clean them and report anything they find, and then the salespeople then check that they are happy to hand the car over. So there are alot of people checking for problems before a customer gets the car. Unfortunatley the procedures are diffirent at different dealerships.

Hi all

Washer bottle was replaced last Saturday and it appears to be ok now.

However, one other thing I fixed myself. I found that the cubby hole/fusebox cover on the drivers side was very loose. On closer inspection I found that the screw was missing to hold it in place. I thought oh b****r I can't be bothered to go back to the dealer again so I sorted out the screw that I found rattling about in the boot which I had previously retrieved from my old Seat Leon and used that. It's now as solid as a rock with no danger of detaching itself and falling into the footwell.

I'm sorry if anyone may find my comments negative, I can only report as I find. If I did my job as good as this Fiat dealer I would be put on report at the very least.

Still like the drive, acceleration and comfort of my Bravo.
