Technical wiper motor relay?

If I recall correctly when I enquired about a wiper motor relay relating to my rear and front washers intermitently working, found out there is no relay for this. My Problems most likely the switch, which I havnt had chance to sort out yet

I'm curious about this one, my wipers only work on fast wipe and do not return to rest position, when I put them on slow or intermittent nothing happens but I can hear a faint click, just once, somwhere around the motor area, not having had a look in yet so cant be more precise, but I would have thought that was where the relay would be. It could well be a problem with the stalks but I doubt it as this click I hear tells me power is going to the motor area, I have got another set of stalks but am a little reluctant to try fitting them as i dont want that air bag exploading in my face. Anyone else had any doings with this so called infomous relay?.... One other thing, MOT is due, is it a fail to have just fast wipe?

Access the wiper motor multiplug, use multimeter/test light or power probe & check you have a live for each speed,if you have it needs motor end of story.I think the relay is inbuilt in motor but dont quote me on this!

Tested the power for the various speeds to the motor and all was ok, when I tried to put direct power to the motor it just clicked apart for the fast wipe connection, so off to the scrap yard I went, picked a complete wiper unit up for £20 fitted it and all works well now. Thanks for that advice. as for the relay it looks like it is attatched to the motor, well some sort of printed circuit is fastened to it, not sure if its a relay, it is removable and I thought of just changing that but I didnt wan't to chance it so replaced the whole lot.
