Hello all,

I'm just after a bit of advice with my alloy bolts really. I managed to get myself some fiat alloys for my bravo, and so I got myself a set of bolts to bolt them on, which I thought was fair enough.

The problem is though, when I was bolting the first wheel on, it only took 5 or 6 turns to bolt them on, is this normal/right?

I had a look about to see if i could find info on this but it came up with nothing, any help would be appreciated as I’m scared to put them all on if it is not safe.

There's only 2 types for the Bravo, one long and one short. Best to get them from a FIAT dealer as they're not that expensive. Couple of quid per bolt iirc. Recently replced all of mine including the lockers as they were a bit tatty and I think it was less than £20 all in.

Thanks for the response Ozric-Al, I may invest in a proper set includeing a locking nut in the future.
After posing that i kinda had an idea,

See how many turns it takes to get the bolts on holding my steel wheels, and that took about 6-7 turns as well. Kinda under the impression the bolts I have are ok for length.
Don't know why I didn't think of that one before.

I've now put the other front one one and all seems ok but...

When trying to put the rear ones on I can not seem to get them on. I think it is due to the hub bolt cap which i can not seem to budge. Does anyone have any pointers to get this off ?

You should not have to remove the hub bolt cap.

In what way are they not going on?
I only assumed that it was the cap stopping them as it sort-of got in the way taking the steel wheels off. I had noticed that there were no such caps on the front wheels.
When i try and match the wheel to the hub the wheel stands off about 8-10mm. It had started to rain at this point so quickly put the old wheel back on. I shall venture forth tomorrow and see what I can find out. If I'm lucky it was me just being crap.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Turns out that it was me just being crap, I went out today and the wheels went on today no problem. No idea what was stopping them yesterday so I'm feeling a little thick. Glad they are sorted though, better than the other wheels by miles.

Thanks for the suggestions as well, i had not thought of the locating pins as the front wheels went on fine.
