Car running fine, left work tonight and whenever i brake i get the orange stop light come on (stop with two little half circles underneath). foot off the brake and the light goes out.

Anyone know what this indicates?

low brake fluid or low pads if wear sensors fitted

its a 1.8 ELX (my late fathers originally so dont know too much about it) , would that have low brake pad sensor etc?

okay just checked and its the brake warning light (not the worn brake pad light) so i assumed it was that a brake light had gone. which it had. have replaced the bulb but the warning light still comes on when i brake!

is there a specific fuse for the brake lights?

all sorted. just needed the bulb to be plugged in PROPERLY ! all sorted
