wohoo :)

just got my poly eliptical (however its spelt) lights :) for a hugely fair (in my favour) figure :)

anyway.... need ot go back and cut of the side light bit (i forgot being a numpty lol)

had a little test fit to see if i could do it successfuly (i had an urge to mod) and noticed that the indicators wouldnt work... they acted as if the bulb was blown, ticking really fast.

is that becasue their is no sidelight connected? so its trying to take the extra current? of just a faulty bulb ? or me being a numpty again lol...

yay polys! the indicators are not connected to the sidelight circuit, so the missing sidelights wont be the cause. as blu says, one bulb isnt conected or has blown, but it can only be the indicator bulbs (6), switch on hazard warning lights and check all 6 indicator bulbs. dont forget the front indicators have their own wiring connector seperate to the main wiring connector.

yea i saw that bitwas different... must just be a dodgy bulb.... will have to wait until the weekend to check now lol...

ps.. i found a complete marea htx if anyones after anything... no damage to it lol...

as well as around 6 bravo of various spec and 3 brava of sx and s spec.

Im after a pair of Marea door handles to replace the rubber ones on my Bravo which have cracked and pealed.

What colour was the Marea?
Were the door handles still in tact?
Are they painted plastic or rubber on the Marea HTX?

Also after a foglight cover for my front passenger foglight if they have one available thats not cracked?

Drop me a PM if you can get your hands on any of the above and how much they are?

there was a boring red mareea with no handles and the one i got the lights from was a petrol greeny metalic colour with the plastic painted handles. (front ones are mine lol) but if you are de locking then the back ones are still free (so long as no one else gets there first)

HGT steering wheel... i will keep my eyes open jug... does it look like a normal one just leather????

front fogs??? yea if its the same as a marea on then i can do that ;) (so long as they are still there)

im going next on saturday and am getting myself

marea headlight washers
the extra marea sidelight things
door handles (will probably be free courtesy of my pockets lol...)

:p

ChristieCruiser, if you can pick me up the rear handles and the passenger foglight if you could get it I would appreciate it mate (y)

Drop me a PM on Saturday if you can get them.

Cheers,

Simon

Yea wheel has the little thumb rests/grips as well as leather and nice stitching. You'll be lucky to sneak handles out as it takes so long to get them someones bound to notice.. lol

trust me...... they wont notice lol... its owned by one bloke and his mate... and they are too busy fecking around in a few 300sx and modded meganes etc which they repair and sell on..

so dont really care about the rest of the stuff...

plus its hidden right at the back..

ps call me joe ;)

@ si punto, yea i will get em and pm you with the details etc... if you dont want em im sure they will all sell on cheap enough ;)

@ jug. i dont think there was a hgt steering wheel then... but i will look for you ;) ps.. is it the same as a coupe??? because theres a yellow coupe in there... complete... but a little erm... mashed lol.

no i tried a coupe turbo steering wheel, but it cant fit, so its sat in my garage collecting dust :bang:

the hgt steering wheel is hard to find, i've been looking for a long time. there's one on ebay right now but its £60, which is double what i want to pay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1995-02-Fiat-...ryZ10382QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

what ive done with my lights is ive taking the 4 pain wires out of the original lights and rewired them in to the new lights, It works. You need some silicon to seal the back of the side lights just so the cables stay dry,

right.. the marea had been preeeetry much stripped, so i got a polly light,

+ the wirring for it,

some rear handles froma marea, a centre consome from a marea, a new centre facia for the bravo dash (to adapt)

and some assorted wiring and bulbs lol.

yay bits to play with :woot:

got my MOT on friday, so assuming i dont have to do loads of work on it on saturday, i will be finishing off my 2 tone interior. and i'm getting a lhd rear light that i won on ebay (thanks to klemster:worship:) as soon as the guy gives me his address (netherlands). so it should be finished very soon. anyone who wants it should start saving right now.

next im going ot scavange a heap of the Electric windon relay things... and do the drivers / passenger ones in my SX anmd then my mates HLX Brava passanger one....

then im going ot tyr and suss out the led's in the window swithc and make a double din centre dash thingy. lol (nice and descriptive)

ok, i have had my pollys fitted for a while now and they dont seem to be very bright... on normal beam.......... on high they are perfect, but on normal beam they just seem a little.... erm.... (CR^P)

is there anything i can do to change that?? they are lit properly and do show up when shining against a garage etc, but they dont seem to be that bright.

i followed the guide (using the side lights from a marea etc) and cant find anything else anywhere explaining any other things to do to them to get them brighter)

assuming they are clean, correctly aligned, and working, all you can do is get better bulbs. i find they are much better than my old lights. it takes a while to get used to the fact that you no longer have light scatter everywhere, which can make you think you have less light, but you actually have a better focused beam that only hits the road surface ahead.

ok... well i have read that the phillips visioon +50 are the best so will be getting some of them as and when i can find some... lol.

i thought i read somewhere that the marea headlights were lower dipped so needed bravo motors or something or other....
