1.6??
Injector probably... ;)
Buy one (or 2) from a scrapy. You'll probably need it in the future..

#Search the forum (for jug's posts) about how to remove and test an injector, you'll get tons of results! :)

:yeahthat:
(it saves me typing it all again :D )

definately do a test with a multimeter to measure the resistance of each injector using the wiring harness connector at the right hand side of the fuel rail. my previous posts explain in more detail.

thanks i will have another look do you think it could be the ht lead brakeing down and do you need the car started when checking the injecters thanks for the info you are all good lads on here better than the dealers no help at all

test injectors with engine switched off. you cant disconnect the injector wiring harness with the engine running, well you could but it would cut out.

if you havent tried replacing the HT leads yet, then change them, its always one of the first things you should try. leads, plugs & air filter can cause all sorts of problems and should be changed regularly.

are none gen ht leads ok ? is that coxhoe in durham you live in a nice place

touching the HT leads you should not get any sparking as they are insulated. definately change them.

any new HT leads will do, just get whatever your local motor factor supplies.

yes coxhoe in durham, it is a nice place (y)

are you near me?

changed the ht leads on the brava its still abit hicky had a quick check with the multi meter it looks like i have one of it looks like it showing 30 ohms and the other showing 14 to 15 cant figer that out i will check it again tomorrow thanks to jud for his help top man:D

30 ohms is an unusual reading, the high resistance could suggest a corroded connection on the injector wiring harness, or even a damaged wire. usually a faulty injector will have lower resistance. you'll need to check the wiring on the injectors carefully.

at last got the injectors in to day runs alot better take it for a good run tomorrow fingers crossed thanks to all the lads that help on this forum
