Could someone please give me some advice? I've been searching for a bravo for over a month and finally found a 99(t) 100 TD with 45000 miles. Went to look at it this morning and boy was the bodywork tatty. The passengers door handle looked like someone had chewed at it and as it was opened it made a loud clicking noise!!! It had a replacement drivers door and the had put the wrong mirror on it (not colour coded and didn't fit properly) there was little scratches all over, needed a service etc the owner said that it had had the cam belt changed a year ago, but there was no paperwork about this. It drove beautifully, really nice turbo whoosh. What do you think, do Bravos get this tatty at this age, and how much do you think it would cost in repairs. Also because of this i managed to get the seller to drop his price by £400 to £2400!!! is that good.
Thanks in advance

i wouldn't touch it. bravas that havent been looked after aren't worth anything, keep looking for a minter. there are loads of bravas on the market so you're spoilt for choice

Bravo 1.2 are very good as far as 1.2's go. I have a 99 one and love it to bits.

Be sure to check out http://www.bravo-guide.co.uk for further buying advice. I'm currently updating this site but all relevant info should be there for you :D

hang on! [:(!]

the right car will turn up i promise i was serching for four months before i got my 1.8 hlx in near mint condition fsh 28,000 for £2550. it was worth the wait!:D

i have a 99s with 75000 miles and the bodywork is minted with no signs of rust anywhere, runs a treat, but i maybee wish id found a jtd!

I looked at about 5 different brava/o and marea's before I found the one I got. I didnt have to look far thankfully but the choice was there so at least I could pick and choose the engine type and miles and not just take the first one.

Shame you arnt near glasgow, As I know someone on the mg-rover.org forum who is selling his wifes bravo 1.2 for about £3000 ish
